Reduction for Metrobus depot in Crawley, West Sussex

In late April, Tree Marshalls Ltd undertook a challenging operation. Metrobus contacted our administrative team enquiring cutting back various species of trees in the bus depot. The goal that they were looking to achieve was to give plenty of clearance from the hydrogen storage area and pipes. Our trained arborists from the Surrey and West Sussex boarder knew that the best approach would be to form a thorough plan inclusive of site-specific RAMS.

To prepare for the reductions at Metrobus Depot, Crawley, West Sussex, Tree Marshalls Ltd completed site-specific RAMS. Site specific RAMS are completed to demonstrate attention to details in our locations. They highlight health and safety hazards within our working conditions and environment.

We used our tracked cherry picker to carry out most of the operations. In early 2021 Tree Marshalls Ltd invested in what we believe to be the future of tree surgery – a cherry picker. Our cherry picker has a working height of 20 metres and an outreach of 9m. It truly is an asset to our business, and we believe it gives us lots more opportunity within the tree industry.

We applied caution to ensure no damage occurred. When discussing the job in our free of charge quotation, we went over the importance with our client of protecting ourselves and everything around us to therefore allow our job to go smoothly. Inside the hydrogen storage courtyard, we manoeuvred the cherry picker with care to ensure no damage was caused to any pipes or equipment.

In conclusion, multiple species of trees were successfully cut back away from the hydrogen pipes and storage area. Our trained tree surgeons completed the works with caution and care. Our customer at Metrobus was very happy with the results. These results are the effect of cautious and careful operation taking place and we are very proud of our trained arborists working so meticulously to ensure all safety measures were met.
